Following the provincial government’s decision to proceed to Step 3 of its reopening plan, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation said that 11 of its Ontario casinos will reopen on Friday.
Casino Woodbine, Great Blue Heron Casino, Casino Ajax, Elements Casino Mohawk, Elements Casino Flamboro, Elements Casino Brantford, Elements Casino Grand River, Shorelines Casino Belleville, Shorelines Casino Peterborough, Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands, and Shorelines Slots at Kawartha Downs are among the facilities that will reopen.
The Pickering Casino Resort’s casino, according to the company, will reopen in the near future, with the remainder of the resort following in 2022.
The facilities will reopen with reduced gaming capacity to meet physical distance restrictions under the province’s current health and safety framework.
On July 1, the Toronto-based company reopened seven casinos in British Columbia, and on June 16, it reopened two casinos in Halifax and Sydney, N.S.
Great Canadian Gaming Corp. was founded in 1982 and currently manages 26 gaming, entertainment, and hospitality facilities throughout Ontario, British Columbia, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.
