Mike Mirtl, the CEO of the BetRegal, recently announced his plans to return to his hometown of North Bay, Ontario, and support the local economy. His plan is to open a BetRegal Office there, resulting in greater work opportunities for locals. However, it is yet unclear how many jobs would be created as part of the project.
The gaming company’s CEO still has a property in North Bay, and he just signed a local collaboration agreement with King Sportswear. The latter is helping BetRegal with promotional materials as part of this agreement. The gaming company had previously signed a deal with the Canadian Football League.
Coming 2022
Mr. Mirtl who long ago was in the banking sector has moved into the offshore gaming industry 16 years ago, said the company’s offices are in Costa Rica, Malta, and Curacao. He stated that the company employs over 200 people in customer service, development, and marketing. His plan is to help North Bay’s local economy in any way he could.
At this time, the CEO is unable to provide an estimate of how many people the new office will be able to employ. His idea, according to him, is to launch a contact in the area that will employ part-time workers, as well as people from Nipissing University and the Canadore Athletic Department. He said that an office at North Bay would be the ideal place to call home.
Mr. Mirtl believes that the project can be completed as early as 2022. He is hopeful that the plan can be implemented quickly, as the company expects to receive its provincial license before the end of the year. The CEO believes that once they obtain a license, the company will be able to enjoy a flying start in its Ontario launch.
Bill C-218 was passed into law by the Canadian federal government in August, allowing provinces to provide sports betting on individual sporting events. Mr. Mirtl explained that this gives his company a great opportunity to join the country’s growing gaming industry, but they must first obtain a license. The CEO will soon travel to North Bay with the idea of creating some casino partnerships.
Sponsorship Agreement
BetRegal and PGA Canada signed a three-year deal in August. The PGA Championship of Canada presented by TaylorMade Golf and the Adidas Golf experience were both improved as a result of the federation’s efforts. The tournament in 2022 will be the 100th edition, and it will take place at Bromont, Quebec, from August 4 to 7.
One More Collab
Not long ago the gaming brand BetRegal announced its newest agreement with the Canadian Football League. The company is now the leagues’ official sports gaming partner. Damon Allen and Matt Dunigan, both members of the CFL Hall of Fame, will also serve as ambassadors for the company. The agreement was finalized at a crucial time, just in time for the start of the CFL season and its return.
