Great Canadian Gaming, based out of Ontario, has announced the launch of its new property. GCG’s new venue, Pickering Casino Resort, is the first casino resort to open its doors in the Ontario area in 16 years.

Located east of Toronto, the casino is close to the city, and it is expected that its suitable location will attract many visitors from the surrounding area.

Pickering Casino Resort will boast about 2,400 slot machines and almost 100 tables with popular table games. Its vast arsenal of games will surely prove to be a treat for all those players who were unable to place bets for such a long time.

Just like so many other venues, Great Canadian Gaming was also severely crippled by the COVID-19 outbreak. When the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic happened in early 2020, the company was forced to close most of its venues. But now, it seems that the tide has started to turn.

Terrance Doyle, the company’s interim CEO, believes that this particular venue will help the company to recover from the pandemic. He stated that Pickering Casino Resort will also aid the local community by creating 600 new jobs in the Durham Region in its first phase.

Doyle added that the casino will help kick-start the economy of Pickering. He has thanked his team and shareholders who have contributed to this project.
