After being hit by a vehicle on Sunday, RCMP claim, a pedestrian was killed near the Bear Claw Casino and Hotel in Carlyle, Sask.

On Highway 9, approximately 1.5 kilometers north of the casino, which is 180 kilometers southeast of Regina, the collision occurred.

As an inquiry took place, Carlyle RCMP said both lanes of the highway between the casino and the entrance to Kenosee Lake had been closed.

During the entire evening, traffic was rerouted.
