Casino En Ligne has recently performed research of sort, trying to determine which NHL fans were the most committed. Casino experts determined the results based on the prices of supporting the teams (going to games, etc.) and social media engagement.
According to them, it seems that Toronto Maple Leafs is the best-supported club, while Montreal Canadiens are close behind. Here’s the full list that Casino En Ligne released:

- Edmonton Oilers
- Winnipeg Jets
- Vancouver Canucks
- Calgary Flames
- Ottawa Senators
It’s not surprising that all of the teams on this list are from Canada, a country well-known for its passionate obsession with hockey. Casino En Ligne spokesperson commented:
“Maple Leafs top the ranking as the most expensive team to support. The price of a game ticket is by far the highest and the prices of services offered at the Scotiabank Arena are also expensive.”
The casino’s release also says:
“Canadian teams are known for their high NHL game ticket prices, compared to the teams south of the border. And even so, have seen an increase in prices of at least 26% in 2021, with the list price of playoff tickets sitting at $468 on average across the NHL for 2021.”
In addition to being the first on the list, Toronto Maple Leafs also have the highest following across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter out of all the league’s teams.
