Woodbine Entertainment has reported huge profits and stated that during the last week, with a record-setting CA$13 million earned during the Saturday only. In a period between Friday to Sunday, Woodbine Entertainment recorded a total of CA$30 million wagering volume for the five racing cards.
The horseplayers wagered over CA$2.2 million on the Ricoh Woodbine Mile race. They also wagered over CA$1.7 million on the Pattison Canadian International race.
Woodbine’s Racetrack saw a total of CA$7.2 million betting volume for its 11-race program on Sunday.
This week, live racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park continued on Tuesday. The racing will be renewed on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with a post time of 7 p.m. Races will be held on Thursday afternoon and will run through the weekend.
Woodbine Entertainment also hosted the draw for this weekend’s Mohawk Million and Metro Pace earlier this week. This will be a 10-horse race and King in The North will start it at post 2, while Venerable will be at post position number 9.
Woodbine also announced its support for Ontario’s new proof of full vaccination policy. From now on, the company’s staff, horsepeople participants, and contractors will be required to present full immunization proof upon entry for its Ontario properties.
